In order to use environments with different temperature, humidity, and corrosion requirements, ordinary carbon steel bag cages must undergo surface anti-corrosion treatment to improve their service life. The following introduces the characteristics and applications of several surface treatment methods for bag cages.
1) The surface galvanizing treatment adopts zinc electroplating, which can prevent rust and oxidation, and is cheap. The coating is thin and not suitable for humid and strongly corrosive environments. It is suitable for dry and low corrosion environments.
2) Pure epoxy resin powder electrostatic spraying adopts pure epoxy resin powder electrostatic spraying. Acid and alkali resistant, but with poor temperature resistance, it is not suitable for long-term use in high-temperature environments. After spraying and vibration, the coating is prone to aging and cracking, and the edges and corners after cracking will wear out the filter bag.
3) Solvent based organic silicon coating is used for soaking, and the organic silicon paint layer is attached by soaking. It is acid resistant, alkali resistant, and high-temperature resistant, but has poor adsorption power. After a period of time, the surface paint layer is prone to cracking, peeling, and other phenomena, which affect the paint layer’s lifespan, and is prone to wear and tear on the filter bag, affecting its lifespan.
4) With the application of organic silicon powder electrostatic spraying in various industries, especially in high-temperature and highly corrosive environments such as coal-fired power plants and garbage incineration power plants, bag cages are required to be able to withstand high temperature and corrosion for a long time. Some imported bag cages used in power plants or garbage incineration use stainless steel materials, although they can meet the requirements of high temperature and corrosion resistance, the cost is relatively high.
